Eagle Eyes Action Station - HOME

I stumbled across this the other day. It's seems that dispite Palitoy selling out Action Man and GI Joe some years back this lad approached the company who currently holds the license with a view to reviving the classic action figure. Great idea.

I recall I had the climber with grip hands (essential when you are climbing) but then a I had the Nazi soldier outfit bought for me. Things were tough at school for a while.

Me too ! I thought I was the only one.....:(

It was when they very first came out - I well remember the price which was then 'way beyond my means (£1.10s.0d !) and a well-meaning Aunt bought me one. And I never liked it......

GI Joe was THE man! Then, they changed him from a soldier to part of the "Adventure Team." What a crock!

    Hated action man?!?
    Weirdos. :camo:

What could be finer than seeing a squad of fearless action men screaming to their obliteration at the end of a death slide from bedroom window to garage wall!
And then when French Bangers became part of the childhood currency those terrifying 'suicide bomber' incidents, and the awful destruction wreaked on a fully crewed Scorpion tank; "we found his head on the garage roof sir! nasty business" (I had that silly 'pursuit craft', it died in flames).

It was nice to recently see some of the 'classics' being remarketed after all that 'orange' rubbish was dropped, surprisingly pricey business though, similar level to those Dragon Dolls.
    Action Man History

I agree that getting the Sailor was seen as somewhat suspect. :D

    Cheers,
    Adam.

I didn't mind the figures that much*...but the present was actually a set for you to dress up as action man. Still makes me shudder that people can be that evil to make a kid dress up as action man.

*Only for the obliteration. I had an incident at school that made me dislike them.

LOL. It could of been alot worse. ie. Barbies Ken .

Add to that, the Action Man Escape from Colditz Kit. Which is probably the most un PC and yet coolest Action Man gear ever. Crikey, they even added the bleeding Cross.

Let us not mention the name of that scrubber here!
She was always distracting Action man from his manly duty...

It does somewhat pain me that Action man was a copy of GI Joe, having spent my childhood denying this could be possible.

Speaking of Barbies/Ken, I once got my sister's entire collection, and hung them from the roof.
As well as all the usual stuff-pulling off heads, tying them to chairs (I electrocuted myself once trying put this doll in the electric chair, and it wasn't nice so I discontinued that practice), drowning them, cutting them up with knives, all of which got me into trouble.
And more recently, my Cat found an old Barbie (or was it a Cindy?) head, and started chewing it.

What Are the Symptoms of ADHD?

ADHD used to be known as attention deficit disorder, or ADD. In 1994, it was renamed ADHD and broken down into three subtypes, each with its own pattern of behaviors:
    1. an inattentive type, with signs that include:
    • inability to pay attention to details or a tendency to make careless errors in schoolwork or other activities
    • difficulty with sustained attention in tasks or play activities
    • apparent listening problems
    • difficulty following instructions
    • problems with organization
    • avoidance or dislike of tasks that require mental effort
    • tendency to lose things like toys, notebooks, or homework
    • distractibility
    • forgetfulness in daily activities
    • ability to electrocute oneself.
    2. a hyperactive-impulsive type, with signs that include:
    • fidgeting or squirming
    • difficulty remaining seated
    • fascination with sharp instruments
    • excessive running or climbing
    • difficulty playing quietly
    • always seeming to be "on the go"
    • excessive talking
    • blurting out answers before hearing the full question
    • difficulty waiting for a turn or in line
    • problems with interrupting or intruding
    • playing with girls toys

Only for presciptions. However, I am more than sure if you were to tell the desk Nurse your Action Man dressing up/coming out story they will send the van round.

    Go easy Tiger.
