Sounds reasonable but no, it didn't happen.

What happened to that YLG80 that only put in one post?

    Best wishes to all !
Don't worry I'm still alive. I don't forget that I've to dig in the old pictures of my father in law, find the bus picture and the negatives in order to print new larger photos.
During the war he was developing his photos on very small papers.
I have to take the time to do that as well for other people who have requested me to reprint war pictures of German crashed airplanes that they have identified.

For those interested, you can have look at the picture of Rommel, Feuchtinger and Becker given by Becker to my father-in-law just when he escaped from Fosses here :
    http://www.cegesoma.be/pls/opac/plsp.getplsdoc?rn=143230&cn=51&lan=N&htdoc=general/opac.htm
The electronic copy of that picture is now kept in the Belgian archives Cegesoma.

On the last post : as far as I've read, Becker's group was the only one to win a battle in Normandy with his strange equipment. Of course that information has to be verified.
    Regards

Whatta ya talkin bout. The StuG is already a beauty as well as a success. Those angled plates are the source of it's stealthiness. Have you not heard of the F-117? Don't mess with perfection. Besides, this thing says shoot me and take my head off. You might as well name it Ugly Betty.

    Hello,
Here are the pictures of Becker's mobile HQ truck and command car.
Pictures taken by the end of August 1944 in Fosses-la-Ville (Taravisee castle).
The car/bus and the trailer were parked under the trees in the castle park.
On the truck picture you can see the trailer hidden a few meters ahead of the truck. Becker used to work in the trailer while he was sleeping in the castle.
Sorry for the pictures quality. Will try to find the original slides and redevelop them.

A few day's after the pictures were taken, Becker had to go away as the US troops (172FA US of Lt Colonel Hayes) and the VII Corps were arriving. ( Sept 4th) The US VIIth Corps established his HQ in the castel...
    Regards

No these POW's were taken after a short battle in Floreffe (nearby) between the German and the local Secret Army. Becker and his crew were already gone 2 or 3 day's before the US arrival.

    Just for the fun,
I post pictures of one of the bottles of Champagne found in the cellar.
I've found these (sad enough empty) bottles 4 years ago.
They were in the cellar since 1944 and were owned by Alfred Becker when he was occupying the castle.
As you can see on the enlarged picture of the sticker, it's written:

"Wehrmachts -Marketenderware - Verkauf Im Frei Handle verboten - Réservé à la Wehrmacht - Achat et revente interdits"

    Regards.
