Steel Panthers - Generals Edition with Mega Campaign is superb, I like its turn by turn approach, and each time you play a campaign you can take several different routes through it based on your previous performance in battle...... fantastic...

Brothers In Arms: Road to Hill 30.
The story's way better than the other WW2 FPS.

COH is so damn easy. You can control the early game by rushing a few heavy machine guns and deploying them at certain points, depends on the map. Get a few AT guns behind those machine guns before your enemy start to deploy tanks and you can control the mid game. The late game depends on your creativity, i prefer to crush my enemy with steel panthers.

Well, aiming is quite hard, but you get use to it after a while.

No, I mean the squad control, it's too much of a handfull.
Especially the one with 2 squads and a tank.

Im mostly a british player but am also somewhat good at panzer elite. i just get owned as weremacht and americans. What i cant stand as british is sometimes they can get light armor or halftracks when i dont even have a support command and stuarts.. all i might have to counter them in early game is piats... which doesnt work very well against multiple halftracks. although brens own against them.

I have seen many people deploy only huge amounts of Rangers and use the no suppression skill they possess, which is a pain. However I have found a counter, multiple MG's with 1 infantry Squad with MP40's and 1 to 2 mortars set up in the back. First blast away at the rangers with the mortars and knock them down and spred them out, and those not killed with be by the great rate of rife or the other units, hehe works everytime.

Do not use vehicles to counter rangers it dosn't work very well.

I also use the tactic if building 4 -5 infantry squads with crack unit status and use them to attack just like the rangers, that works to expecially when you use then against the rangers.

My favourite tactic is to use a few squads of Assualt Grenadiers, works like magic. :D
    Just charge em through!
Unless the Rangers have Thompsons, then it's not so good.

    However, after a bit of thought, I realized;
Set up a few MG42s, then send a squad out to lure them (The rangers) to the MGs. If done right, the Fire up! thing will have worn off. Then go in with MP40s or MP44s.

My pet hate is British players setting up 17pdrs two points next to my base. grrr.

I hate it when two allies team up and one only builds 25pdrs and support infantry with some 17pdrs and the other does all the attacking. A continous salvo of artillery can be done, although very annoying it is a very good tactic and impressive if done right.

This can be easily countered by a combination of mortar and sniper. Snipers are good scouts for your mortar, and mortar can own artillery without any trouble, as long as your enemy don't have too many tanks.

This would have limited success, once the enemy figures it out they will use there own snipers or jeeps/armoured cars.

Or you could be playing against a total twat who thinks sending snipers behind his lines is cheating.
A good weapon vs British emplacements are Nerblewerfers. Or terror doctrine Firestorms.
Basically, any weapon that uses fire.
