This statement reminded me of a story i was relayed a while back. There was a rather aristocratic English lady holding forth at a certain historical society meeting. She was regaling the group with her never ending tales of one splendid English victory after another. Finally, one gentleman spoke up and asked, "What about the American Revolution?" She replied, "Ah yes, the American Revolution! Another splendid English victory." "Do you actually consider that another splendid English victory?" the gentleman asked. "It certainly was.", she replied. "Englishmen fighting for Englishmen's rights against a German monarch and his Hessian mercenaries. Another splendid English victory."
I salute the Greatest Nation on Earth on your Constitutional Day! Hadn't it been for the good old U.S. of A, western Europe would be drowned in the communist quagmire by now! Thanks to your sacrifices in WWII, Korea, Vietnam, 9.11 and Iraq, there are still democracies on the western hemisphere. Keep up your good work and vote for the right candidate in the election!
