Anthrax scientist commits suicide as FBI closes in - Yahoo! News

A top U.S. biodefense researcher apparently committed suicide just as the Justice Department was about to file criminal charges against him in the anthrax mailings that traumatized the nation in the weeks following the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, according to a published report.

Clearly the actions of a man guilty of killing 5 people. Good riddance.

Whomever said "Good Riddance", I agree.
Yikes indeed about being diagnosed as suicidal/homicidal, (not that I put much stock in Community (two year) College trained Social Workers), and their opinions. Their Credo: "I'm OK, you're a mess. Come back twice a week, until I reach retirement."
Security clearance? A need for an "up-date" in procedures I suspect.
Yes we would know more if he was still alive. We would know he's even more crazy, than the crazy he's suspected of being.
Another coward who knew the chickens were coming back home to roost, and took the easy(est for him) way out.
Perhaps a reason to pair up (workers) & video surveillance for their activity, instead of watching traffic lights?
One pays better than the other, but which one is really more important?

She was his theapist, and I would imagine that she was classified a "social worker" since she was not working in private practice but for the state.

Remember this part; "She added that Ivins "has been forensically diagnosed by several top psychiatrists as a sociopathic, homicidal killer. I have that in evidence. And through my working with him, I also believe that to be very true."

She wasn't relying on her own judgment it appears. But, I agree on the "good riddance"; I'm only saddened in the lack of information gained with his demise.

Anyone that can kill innocent ppl and not want to face the consequences of their actions is nothing more than an obtuse coward IMO.
