Here's a longer answer The Short SA.4 "Sperrin" (named after the Sperrin Mountains, a range of hills in Northern Ireland) was a British jet bomber design of the early 1950s built by Short Brothers and Harland of Belfast, popularly abbreviated "Shorts". It first flew in 1951. Although it was not put into production because swept-wing designs such as the Vickers Valiant were by then available, the Sperrin prototypes were valuable for research data on large jet aircraft.
i just dont know how you people know every plane in history.. for me all bombers are quite similar just know the basics lancaster liberator superfortress junkers
I should have recognized this one! Saab MFI-15 Safari, also known as the Saab MFI-17 Supporter, is a trainer aircraft which is used by several air forces. The Safari is a single engined aircraft, which made its maiden flight in 1969.
Well done! I have a great friend who flies Super Lynxs for the RDN who trained on these. Off to you Tex!
Could be either, and both may be fighting each other since the plans were sold to China and then to Iran.
Exactamundo. Off to you Tom. There's some real speculation in the intelligence community (and the military aviation community on the whole) about how the Chinese got the plans for the J-10. I don't know whether Iran will ever build an indigenous variant, especially since they'll likely be able to purchase a MiG-35 that is more capable for less up front cost.
