    Let's just say that the wings and tail of the mystery plane should look "very" familiar to bomber enthusiasts.

    Sort of reminds me of a Hornet (successor to the Mosquito) - except for the radials of course...

    A lot of the their late-war twin engine aircraft look similar, but the location of the horizontal stabilizers on the vertical stabilizers is, IIRC, unique.

    I think the Mitsubishi Ki 83 is confirmed.

    So how about this one? I started life with a name but first flew under a completely different one.

    Man that's weird...the nose looks German, engines look Japanese and the tail looks French/English...nice post.

    Two out of 3 the engines are DB 603 with annular radiators like on the Fw 190D not radials.
    Pic below is from the net so don't look at the filename.

    It's the Heinkel He 274, it was unfinished due to it being built at a French factory that was overrun before being completed. The airframes weren't damaged much in the retreat, but the French finished the plane after the war for research.

    I think it's purpose was to fly in very high altitudes so that fighters could not reach it.
