I'm new, as you may have gathered. Also, I'm hideously young. I may accidentally become annoying, as young people usually do. So if and when I do, feel free to snap at me and put me back in my place (and feel free to call me "grasshopper" or "the kid"). I prefer "Jackie," but I respect your right to be crotchety . You've earned it. I'm a huge WWII buff (wow...that's a surprise), and have been ever since I can remember. I read, write, watch stuff, and correspond about WWII. Probably nothing new to you, but it certainly puts a cramp in my social life, since other teenagers aren't usually as passionate about it as I am. I also try to be funny, and I also fail at it a lot. Please forgive me in advance. Humor is my defense mechanism, as well as my living mechanism, and it ranges from dry, to sarcastic, to dark, to goofy, to disturbing, to just plain stupid. Please forgive me if sometimes it's not always in good taste. I'm still learning, and my intentions are always honest. Other than that, I like to read, write, act, horseback ride, play Euchre, ballroom dance, watch movies, surf the internet, hike, debate about religion and politics, climb trees, and other things I can't think of right now. Thanks for welcoming me to your wonderful forum, and I hope I can make beneficial contributions.
Welcome Jackie. I'm sure you will do just fine here. We have several whippersnappers your age here and they are valued members of the forum. None of us came into this world knowledgeable about that era, so we shouldn't expect you to have done so also. I appreciate your mention of cramping your social life with WWII. Do what makes you happy and don't worry about the others. My wife wonders about my interest sometimes, but she loves me just the same. Just don't let it interfer with your school work.
welcome aboard jackie we were all young once . you will enjoy your stay here on the fourm cheers krieg
This introduction reminds me of a speech that read: "I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat." At least the other guy was older Yegads!
Ha ha...well, to quote the same fellow, "Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference." And since I'm generally positive and bubbly, you won't feel as bad with the blood, toil, tears, and sweat! Thanks for the welcomes!
HEY HEY another Indianapolis ww2 buff Welcome Aboard Jackie... least ya aint sittin around watching MTV rotting your brain... My hat goes off to ya
Don't feel badly, Jackie. If any of us had social lives we wouldn't be posting on forums. Welcome aboard!
