Hello from the newbie I gather there's an expert on 166 Squadron amongst the members. If he could get in touch with me I would be so grateful. My father, Ken Friswell, served with 166 for about four years till 1945. I'd love to have more background to add to the paucity of info that exists on the internet.
hello email me and I will see what I can do to help you with info on 166. I assume your dad was ground crew given the time he spent at Kirmington.Best wishes Mark
Hello, I wonder if you could help me. I am looking for any information about my uncle Squadron Leader Ronald Bows who was killed on a mission on 20th February 1944. 166 Squadron at Kirmington. I believe it was to Leipzig that night. He left a widow Thelma who sadly died several years ago. I would be very grateful for any information at all. Kind regards Karen
Karen Just passing by and saw your posting. If you care to post the same question on ww2talk.com I will be glad to respond with whatever help I can. My own connections with 166 Squadron relate to the death in action of my late brother Jack who served with the 166th. Regards Ron
