Hey guys, its me again. I was wondering (as it closes to my birthday) that are there books out there that act like a encyclopedia of naval ships for the great wars? Destroyers + beyond for the entire world? thanks

You couldn't go past Jane's Fighting ships. They also have an on-line site.

Jane's is the obvious one, there are also some non English naval almanacs like "Flottes de Combat" , "Almanacco navale" and a german one I don't remember the name of, you may get a lot cheaper than Jane, that is usually very expensive, if you come across them.

Gotta agree with above posts. Jane's does a good job. You can probably find reprints of WWII version at an online bookstore or on ebay. I don't see too many of the WWI version about.

yes agreed Janes is hard to beat, unless you go with specific countries "named" vessels which there are many publications from many authors and distributors
