Hmmm I wonder which way Wal-Mart will fall on this now that they realized how much people feel about this?

"Karen Meleta, a ShopRite spokeswoman, said the store denied similar requests from the Campbells the last two years, including a request for a swastika.
"We reserve the right not to print anything on the cake that we deem to be inappropriate," Meleta said. "We considered this inappropriate."
The Campbells ultimately got their cake decorated at a Wal-Mart in Pennsylvania, Deborah Campbell said Tuesday.
A Wal-Mart spokesman told The Associated Press on Wednesday that in light of the incident, the company would review its guidelines regarding cake decorations and other requests.
"It's clear that in serving this customer, some people were offended," spokesman Greg Rossiter said. "As a result, we're going to review our policies."

I cannot believe that this story is making national and local television headlines. Give me a break.

No way, his cake will be a Kosher red star shaped cake that tastes like Ice, just so you remember where Siberia is. You will have to cut it with a sickle. There are also little hazelnuts and a hammer to break them. The waiters will be dressed up like Mujiks and the building will have a dacha design. There will be pictures of uncle Joe everywhere and the bill will be shared by all the guests. When the choir stops singing the first one to stop clapping will be sent to the Gulag. :D

I dare say that if someday Otto decides to make a Forum Anthology, this post would deserve to be in it.

Congratulations Remco, this is pure genius :D

This thread sounds as crazy as one incident we had during
    WW II.

It was SOP for a man to have NMI(No Middle Initial) put on
    his dog tags.

One guy from Texas wrote to his father and asked him to have
his Congressman find out if his tags could be changed because
now everybody thought and questioned how he got the name
NMI( they were constantly yanking his chain about it!!).

My question here is: Exactly what kind of cake did this guy order anyway? Was it a white cake or devil's food?

I hope that their names weren't the only reason why these children were removed. While the parents are obviously nut-jobs, on what basis can the state of NJ seize these children? The kids appear to be well fed, happy, and well taken care of. I didn't see any social workers going after celebs who name their children after toothpaste or moonbeams. Do-Gooders running a muck I think.....

The article DOES NOT state why the children were removed, but it does state it had NOTHING to do with their names.

Aside from it being a shame that those kids being named as such, what i'd like to know is-who the hell is Hinler?

PS, why can't I have a cake made, that has a German Paratroopers Badge on it? After all, it's a cool-looking badge: is it not?

Maybe the guy had a head cold and a blocked nose, and the best way he could pronounc Hitler was Hinler. There used to be a Honszlynn who was a janitor at Bad Tolz...
