After reading the WWI Christmas truce post and since it's the Christmas season, I began wondering what are the good Christmas themed WWII movies. The only one that comes to my mind is the TV-movie made by Hallmark about German and American soldiers getting together to celebrate Christmas in the home of a courageous woman. I can't recall the title now. Are there other similarly themed movies out there?

Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence springs to mind but only for it's title, and you'd have to put up with David Bowie's timbered performance which eventually had me cheering the Japs on to shoot the bugger.

I've been looking around the local stores, even in the hole-in-the-walls shops, for the movies mentioned in this thread. However, the guys and gals I asked have never heard of them. I am forced now to the next step. I will have to contact my brother-in-law in the US and pay him to bring the movies with him when he visits the Philippines next week.
