Hello! I'm Jim, and have just joined the WWII Forums group. I'm an amateur military history researcher, living on Canada's west coast. My mother was a war bride, Dad was Toronto Scottish (MG). I was born in Brighton. Having served 34 yrs in the Canadian Forces myself, and spent 12 yrs in Europe with them, I hope to be of help. I was reading about a Canadian Engineer question regarding a plaque and D-Day preparations. Just wondering if it might have had something to do with Operation Pluto? This was the fuel pipeline laid across the channel - very Top Secret at the time. There is a research group that might be able to help with war diaries of the Canadian Sappers at URL: Research Jim
