Bit of a daft question I know.

Well I got the book and DVD of WW2 Behind Closed Doors - Stalin, the Nazis and the west.

    And Ivan's War:The Red Army, 1939 - 45.

Good grief the post has just turned up here just after 6pm and a parcel for me, another one for the list.

The German Fleet at War 1939-1945

    Oh yes,
A book about Stalin's early days, one about RAF Coastal Command, and two about Lenningrad and Stalingrad.
I also got one about the Somme from German eyes.

Oh and a pack of "Ration Chocolates".

Bought for myself and not opened until Christmas Day - 22 back issues of the 'Bomber Command Association Newsletter'. Only £5 from e-bay and I was absorbed in them for hours (while my wife cooked the Xmas Dinner....;))

    I went to a used book store and bought myself two WWII books;
Gloster Gladiator Aces by Andrew Thomas and In The Skys of Europe, Air Forces allied to the Luftwaffe 1939-1945

I have not read them yet but the pictures are great.

I can't believe that he was able to find them but after 14
years "in" (he was discharged because of a back injury) so
my son got around various bases etc. yet before he got
out he bought my Christmas Present. Where??????

So nicely wrapped and so forth with the appropriate comments
I suspected nothing until I saw my daughters trying not to laugh.

Somewhere, somehow in his several postings he found four(4)
WW II "C" ration cans for me and dared me to eat them. When
he gets out of the hospital he darn sure not do that again.

Truthfully they have a place of honor in my den as a reminder
of the "old days". (Think I'd starve before I'd eat any Cs today).

I got a few DvDs w/ military themes to them. One was Bitter Victory-which was hokey a best even though Kurt Jurgens, Richard Burton and Christopher Lee-were in it. Got a 5 movie box set of Bogarts movies including: Action in the North Atlantic and All Through the Night-both of which are excellent!

Sounds interesting, Scott. Let me know how it is. I got gift cards as no one felt brave enough to try to find what I wanted.
