Just goes to show that some will believe anything if it will fit their bias and agenda even if what they believe about something is totally incorrect and wrong.

    1) I never learned to drink coffee. Although I like the smell of regular coffee (not that vanilla hazlenut crap they try to pretend is coffee), can't drink it, won't drink it, don't like it. I'm not a caffeine addict, although the Marine Corps made me one (for a few years) because of it's sleep deprived training methods.

    2) Lia tries to abstain from coffee because of me. I know she drinks it on the job, but she removes the taste of it from her mouth before she kisses me because she knows I don't like it.

    3) If memory serves, Starbucks got into some kind of trouble right after the Iraq invasion because of anti American military beliefs. I haven't spent a penny on them, won't ever.

    4) I remember Beirut of the mid 1980's. Scary place to be. If all they're doing is protesting nowadays, good for them. Much better than battling it out with Ak's and RPG's. Like Clint Eastwood said:"Makes a very distinct sound when fired at you."

I've never been much into drinking Coffee either. I started to do so when I was working as a Trapper for the Texas Bolweevil Foundation. I stopped drinking Coffee on a regular basis when I found another job--then got hooked on drinking Sodas again

I got used to the Military Issue Coffee flavored caffiene back in the 70s LOL. But back to the original subject. Israel could probably not care less about this. And this just cracks me up LOL

"The children of Lebanon and Palestine warn that Starbucks drinks lead to buying deadly weapons," read one of the banners."

JC, it could be worse, you could be drinking 'coftea,' a British army drink designed for when you have one container and can't decide whether people will want coffee or tea, so you put them both in and hope for the best. It tastes, well, horrible!

They've got a point....If they allowed us to have the old magnum and silver bullet thingies, over here in Jolly England, I'm sure it would be just another option from me usually just moaning.

I'd promise only to use it on visits to Starbucks and then put it away.

So basically....Weighing all things up....looking at both sides....exploring alternate solutions....I'm wtih the kids, Starbucks drinks lead to buying deadly weapons...Where do I queue...?

I don't think they do. Unless I'm badly mistaken, the Starbuck's senior management all seem to be Liberal weenies, the kind who dislike the Second Amendment. That's what makes the demonstration against the Strabucks store in Lebanon seem all the more ironic to me.

Ah I see where we have imported some of our brilliant ideas from. As Stefan says it tastes absolutly foul. Another belter is getting all your dinner in one container. A hot porridge of tatties, gravy and roadkill. Economic though, less things to clean...

You are no more confused than the protesters. They have no idea what they are protesting; if the senior management of Starbuck's had to come down on one side or another, it would undoubtedly be the wrong side, i.e. in favor of Hamas.

I'm all for sentencing those troublemakers to a deserted island and being forced into watching endless repeats of "Gilligans Island, Suddenly Susan, Prince concerts and The Smurfs cartoons. ;-))

I bought theirs at Wally-World (aka) Wal-Mart-for $19.95. I stumbled over by accident. However, the little Ladies love em-and at the sametime, i'm getting my Nephew back for all the times I baby-sat he and the others-and forcing me to watch Pee Wees Big Adventure.
