Hi all. Thanks for makin me feel welcome. I have a question. I have 2 framed maps, that actually go together..depicting the path and exploits of the 29th infantry division. It features red arrows following the path they took, From the US, to England, France, Belguim..at various places, there are cartoon type drawings of soldeirs, equitpment, and such and a passage for each. On the bottom right is the 29th insignia held on 2 sides by helmeted soldiers..and beneath, the records for the division..such as prisoners taken, rounds fired, cable layed...ect. the only identifying marks on this peice is on the bottom right corner..which says..17/Jan 45/669 Engrs/79. These were given to me by my Grandmother after my Grandfather passed. Has anyone seen anything like these? I'm curious if these were standard issue for the men of the 29th, or something that could be bought? All I know is that my Grandmother had them framed sometime in the 50's.
