Again, this isn't perfect nor is it completely accurate, but a fun model to build and learn about...feel free to visit my blog to see many more pictures: KhanZilla: Thus far...the FW190 A-8... Below are some of the best. I still need to construct a base and add some weathering but I wanted to post these for now. Enjoy and thanks for looking!
Thanks...I'll be posting the finished and weathered model soon along with the base I constructed. Keep a look out and thanks for the kind words!
And here are the FINISHED pictures...weathering completed and small base built. Enjoy and thanks for looking:
just as a suggestion since I am a critical one for accuracy creep but think about this : remove the red lettering of Pimpf and paint over and eliminate the red Reich-defense band and replace it with a white one of the same width, you already have a black colwing and the JG 3 wappenshield on the cowling. I have not given you the directive for completing a 2./JG 51 SturmFw 190A-8/R2. 2./JG 51 constituted the needed 4th staffel of IV.Sturm/JG 3 flying in the highest elemnt usually on a bomber attack and thus became later after August 15, 1944 IV.Sturm/JG 3's 16th staffel, the numbers were red which uyou already have on your model happy hunting E `
Well obviously I'm not going to repaint my model So here is a quick photoshop alteration for you, Erich! Enjoy...
It's a beauty if you ask me. The Klappen are minor details but, he Erich needs to deserve his accuracy creep reputation. It would be nice to repaint the Defense band in white though.
Thanks for the kind words, lazybather! Thanks to all who have taken the time to view my pictures as well.
Thanks for the kind words. If I may, the most important thing to remember, especially when getting back into the hobby, is to ultimately have fun. That's it. Don't worry about making every model perfect or historically accurate unless that's just your thing, which is also fine. For me, getting a little better with each build, and learning some about the aircraft I'm building, are the best parts of plastic modeling. Cheers and good luck!
Yeah I'll just be building them for fun. Although I would like to get into airbrushing to raise the quality of my models finished product.
