Well, I'm 27 years into my career now, and retirement is about 2 years away. So I guess I'll go to a ski resort up in the mountains and be a ski bum in the winter, maybe work as a liftee for some beer money and lift tickets. Then in the summer, I'd head south for Key West, Florida and dodge hurricanes while drinking pina coladas and daquiris. That's all I can think of right now. Might have a better idea when I wake up in the morning.
I guess I would not "change a day" but if I had to do something else ( a colleague of mine was in a car accident and the nerves to his right hand got so damaged he cannot do enough precise work ) I´d be interested in working with computers, music selling ( having followed the music charts since the early 80´s ), making ww2 documentaries, perhaps writing some ww2 books, taking care of the backyard garden, fishing, and perhaps hunting, too.
Well I was sort of thinkng more along the lines of a local river with a tea bar in case I get thirsty. But Somalia is always an option...Damn, cant go, got a dentists appointment..
i retired at age 26yrs old.i thought about a gamekeeper, but ended up in heavy engineering.i loved every minute.cheers.
Richard, I take it back about wanting to buy and sell German Militaria. I think I wouldn't mind being King of England for a few decades. I'd make you the commanding Officer of the Palace Guards ;-))
You could always take over from Johnny Depp in Piraties of the Caribbean 4 "urqh scourge of the forum"
I've been thinking about what I'd really like to do, if I could. Two nights a week I like to play drums in a classic rock band, and that also goes with a couple of rehearsal sessions a week. That would free me up to stay at home and write the great modern day novel.
Heh heh, I hopeit proved to be a benefitial excursion into the deep murky green (here its brown) waters off the coast ;-)) I hope the Coast Guard didn't give you any major troubles because of using Dynamite to go fishing with ;-))
Skipper, you want that job only because you really want to bash in some heads   But seriously, I REALLY wouldn't mind working in Skippers Military History Museum ;-D
