I have recently come into pocession of a ROYAL AIR FORCE PILOTS FLYING LOG BOOK NO.2 BY W/cmdr G.P.GIBSON d.f.c. This belonged to my grandad I do not wish to sell the book on but would like to no it value.
The book is in excellant condition with a note in there to say the original book is in the public record office in london. Entries in the book start from 15 Nov 1940 and the last entry was 16 Sept 1944 three days after this entry on 19 Sept he flew to Rheydt in germany at 21.53hrs he turned for home but 3/4 of an hour later crashed into flames at Steenbergen Holland.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you Clare

You have a copy of the limited-edition facsimile of Gibson's logbook published in the 80s by After The Battle publications.

It's now quite sought-after by enthusiasts and collectors, and I've seen copies sell on e-bay for up to £120 ( but on the other hand, I paid £5 for mine in a London secondhand bookshop...;) )
