Well guys. I finally have a minute to sit down and catch up on WW2F. In the last three months: I got laid off when my company when into chapter 7 bankruptcy. Had to leave Mrs Tik and the kids for a month to take a new job. Sell a house in New Mexico, and find a new one in Texas. Move the Family. And I had my first son. He is now three weeks old. WW2F got a new server. (I tried getting on during the switch.) So I thought I would give a big shout out and fill you all in on my life. Yes I am in Texas and I am loving it. I can see know why so many of you talk so highly of it. I hope I didnt miss too much and will try to get back up to speed here.
Good to see you again, Tik. Congrats on bunchkin, I know you must be proud of him. Texas. Like we need another Texan. Couldn't you just keep trapsying east and hit Louisiana, Mississppi, Alabama or Georgia?
Just wait ttill you get a real taste of the heat and humidity--which aint stared yet. Then wait for the high winds and heavy dust storms followed by drenching rainfall, floods, famine, desolution, destruction, migrating masses from Louisiana, Tornadoes, Hurricanes, Tumbleweeds, and gazillions of Tarantulas all over the place--then when you see all that-you will know your definately in Tejas.
Wherebouts Texas are you at? Texas got hit with the recession but there are still jobs. Good luck on your new job and home and congrats. I'm still trying to talk the little woman into returning to Texas.
Glad to see you back, congrats on the newest addition, and on the new employment. One of them is a most difficult accomplishment these days, i.e. new employment! I wouldn't doubt there is a spate of births in the following months, somehow not being employed creates an added opportunity for the conceptions, big surprise (nothing much to do today "babe")!
Looks like you've had a rollercoaster ride, Tikilal.....congratulations on the good stuff, and let's hope things settle for you !
Glad to welcome you back Tikilal. You were another familiar name that I noticed had been missing. Congrats on the new job and new addition. I'm surprised Carl is willing to share Texas, though.
I don't know if it is big enough. I have not found the end of it yet. I am sure that we can work out a living arrangement if nothing else.
Welcome Back, Tikilal. My congratulations as well on the positive turn of events, particularly your son.
Congrats on the son, the new job, the selling of the house (the last 2 harder than the first nowadays!) and welcome back.
