Very sad....I'm glad no one was killed. I don't understand, nor will ever know why>>>
Someone should have given that guy a hug that morning. Thanks for sharing Mike

Seems age is nor barrier to antisocial behavior. Maybe this guy could hook up with John Demjanjuk and the can reminisce about the "good old days".

Update: It looks like the second person shot was the gunman himself. It has been reported that a person with the same name was convicted in 83 of trying to kidnap members of the Federal Reserve Board. The gunman is in critical condition (good), the security guard did not make it:mourn:.

Here is an article on the shooter, his racial hatred seems to be a long standing affair which has only gotten more intense as he (in his own words); "nears the end of the diving board."

Shooting suspect's history of seething anger - Yahoo! News-

His obtaining of the .22 he used in the shooting is being looked into, since as a convicted felon his purchase of same should have been stopped. Of course since he spend some time in Idaho when the Aryan Nations was running full strenght he most likely picked it up then. That is assuming he hadn't purchased it and hidden it before his aborted attempt on the Federal Reserve Board, the felony he spent time in prison for. Just goes to show that aging doesn't alway mellow out people who hate.

I'm sure he will if he survives his wounds (apparently critical). Its VERY EASY to buy a gun anywhere...go to a gun show, you can walk away with any sort of rifle with out even showing ID or getting your background checked. Plus, the majority of criminals get guns pretty easily despite being, well, criminals.

That is too true, but I was only making the supposition I did after finding out about his time in Idaho. Here in the mountain west it is extremely easy to purchase small caliber rifles especially. Kripes, when I moved into one of my first apartments after my divorce, there was a bolt action Savage in the closet. I took it gopher (ground squirrel) hunting that summer and it worked perfectly. Never really examined it, but when a friend asked if I had one he could borrow for shooting gophers outside his farm house, I took that up to him.

Well he got careless when he was in "town" once, and it was confiscated by the local Sheriff. I got a call from them, and it turns out not only was it "stolen", but the serial numbers had been ground off. I never inspected it well enough to notice. I had two other .22 rifles, it was the one I had the least attachment to and was most willing to give to my bud. I have no idea to this day its origin.

The guard who was shot at the Museum is now dead...Just before he was shot braun "was met with a simple act of kindness: a security guard opening the door for him"...I hope he rots in hell for what he did , just because of a dumb hatred for blacks and jews , he goes to a museum and shoots an innocent guard that was kind to him..

I wish he was younger so he could spend more time rotting away in jail..

    RIP Steven T Johns :(

What was he planning on doing? The old man didn't seem to have much of a strategy.

Weapons are not hard to come by at all. It is not uncommon at all for individuals to sell a weapon to another, using cash. There is no record of the transaction. I used to regularly borrow my neighbor's .410 shotgun to hunt squirrels when I was a boy. I would keep it for long periods of time, as he rarely used it.

To me,it sounds like America has got more nazi;s living in America than the original host country did have (germany).
It;s like all the rotten nazi;s all emmergrated to America.

he was more of a loner,so he acts on he;s on accord! Than acting with whitesupremist groups.

There was no strategy, just the motive to kill!

I can recall another shooting by a loner whitesupremist on a Jewish kindergraten school in America! I watch a program a couple of weeks ago.
