Right, just chucking this out there, how about a get together in London on (arbitrary date) the 8th of August, going to the IWM in the morning and having lunch somewhere pleasantly historical (perhapse 'Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese' on the strand, Samuel Johnson's local), maybe coming up with something equally exciting for the afternoon. How does that sound to you rogues?

I know there was a Chicago get together a few years ago, we should have an Orlando one! Take a trip down to the Fantasy of Flight (lots of historic Aircraft there) and maybe go to the Orlando Ale House for a dinner. Rogues can tack it onto a family vacation to Disney too - 2 birds with 1 stone!

I havn't met any as of yet, though I've spoke with Tomcat over XBox Live.

Musso, I'm game for a Florida get together. There is also a good number of Texans on the Forum. Perhaps that might be a better location.

I've got a fortnight off work in August ... "She who must be obeyed" has family in London ... Stefan, I feel a 'cunning' plan is in order ;) Let's keep this thread active and see how far we get :)

I shall set up a new thread and see if we can get it stickied so everyone will know where to find it.

Last April I met Martin Bull in Normandy. I spent a most enjoyable afternoon with him in the Falaise Gap area looking for relics...Ahh! happy times. :)

As Blacksnake mentioned, Pegasus and I met up with him a few weeks back and had an interesting morning looking around one of our local sites.

More meetings are planned with Blacksnake...which may also take in a spot of lunch and watering at a pub somewhere along the way. ;)

If your offering beer, I'll make a detour to your house next time I'm in France. ;)

Stefan, I remember you throwing this idea around last year. You can count me in.

Looks like our cousins across the pond in Merry Ole England has planned a rendevous of the WW2Faithful over there. We can't let those Euro-types beat us! We need to get something going over here, and fast! Since the US of A is soooo big, maybe it would be better to do several regional meetings, and if successful, a National Meet, then who knows, could there be a World War 2 Forum World Gathering in the offing? Any ideas? Let'em rip....

I've met very few 'Rogues' over the years.....but there was the very great pleasure of meeting Jagdpanther44 ( and family ! ) actually walking the Falaise battlefield ( a priceless day ! ). I've met Airborne Medic :)cool:) who has been a guest at my house. I did attend a museum visit with 156Squadron, and perhaps most memorable of all was my private discussion with B17Sam ( can it really be almost exactly four years ago...? )....

Finally I had the opportunity to meet another Rogue! I met Mark (jemimas_special2) during a very quick stop over in Denver the day after Christmas as I was travelling to a ski vacation to Park City, Utah. I must say that meeting him in person was more than just putting a face on "virtual person" that I met online. It was a very enjoyable meeting, and I hope to meet more Rogues during my travels.

Never meet any one you guy, the main reason is being in Australia, and seeing as it costs around $1100 just to get to england and back, not including bedding and food, so it isn't as easy as simply get in the car, although that would be great.

I how ever played with a few of the guys both on the XBOX live and some via some games on the internet.
