I was reading an article in today's newspaper about the comic Prince Valiant. I've been reading it since the 50s. I even saw the movie way back when. (It starred Janet Leigh, James Mason and Robert Wagner). Prince Valiant (1954)

In the article was this little tidbit, which I didn't know

I am struggling to come to terms with the concept of an "interdisciplanary comics studies program."

Never underestimate the power of the pen. Pretty funny though, a comic strip messin' with Hitler's mojo.

Janet Leigh was certainly a babe in those days.

Guess I don't know much about comic studies either but doesn't surprise me. Really just another art form. Think the formal schools were saying the same thing about those crazy impressionists, back in the day.
