"Beyond Band of Brothers , The War Memoirs of Major Dick Winters" was a very good one I read...Its a short 281-Page memoir put definately worth it.
U-boat commander by gunther prien is very good. Only the last two chapters really deal with WWII but i enjoyed the previous chapters more,Very easy read.
There are a few good one's I like that dealing with the Pacific war. Japanese Destroyer Captain by Tameichi Hara Admiral Halsey's Story by William F Halsey South Pacific Destroyer by Russell Sydnor Crenshaw Jr. I'm in the middle of this now and am finding it a very good account. I believe David said he planned a review of this book. I also found this book review David did not too long ago http://www.ww2f.com/book-reviews/32...-accounts-enlisted-men-mcfarland-company.html Can't help with the ETO, sorry.
"Battle Cry" by Leon Uris. It's a "fictional biography" ; but, it is based on his experiences during the war through the Pacific Campaign. "Semper Fi Mac" by Henry Berry Is a compilation of stories from WW2 Marine Corps veterans. "Up Front" by Bill Mauldin Details his WW2 experience and the development of the "Willie & Joe" cartoons. "American Commando" Is one I have been looking for. It is about "Red Mike" Edson and his development and leadership of the Marine Raiders. I always search Amazon. When I find something that looks interesting, I Google the author especialy if it is a "Biography / Fictional Biography".
