i like the missile apart from when it shoots down raf tornadoes . the movie is entertaining but like braveheart..away with the faries ...a patriot is a good thing but not when used as a directional need by politicians.

Well, I don't know - Steven Seagal does make some awful movies. I far prefer 'Under Siege' to this one. Tommy Lee Jones and Gary Busey make a brilliant pair of over-the-top bad guys......

Personally I think that the film is utter **** even if the story behind the film is interesting. However, the plot in the movie is horrible and full of chliches. To me, this film is basically just another patriotic Hollywood flick with no meaning at all.

It was entertaining...But so was voyage to the bottom of the sea..I feel no need to believe either...but eat the popcorn and drink the coke and enjoy the movie...Thats what is it...just another movie...no truth. just a damn good fight...

As with all of Mel Gibson's films, entertainment not history. Braveheart got some of the names right, but most everything else wrong. Same goes for The Patriot.

An action flick set in a period piece, no big deal.

I thought the movie was entertaining.

Regarding the final battle in the movie (when Mel gets his revenge) well the U.S. lost that battle in real life. ;)

That goes to show how well I keep track of this doof, I didn't even know he had a film of the same name as Mel Gibson's 2000 release. I know Gibson's was later (now), but I didn't even know Seagal had made one with the same name.

My favorite movie of his is "Executive Decision"........he dies in the first 15 minutes and believe it or not the movie goes down hill from there.

The only Seagal movie I ever saw, and not by paying for it but on the tube for free was The Siege, where he played the "cook" and Toomy Lee Jones and Gary Bussey were the "bad guys". Being set on the USS Missouri I was drawn in to at least watch.

It wasn't too bad, but not impressive enough to get me to watch another one of his movies.

All of his movies have been pretty much the same so unless there has been an improvement..............not spending $$$ on it.
