for brits .. roll of honour land forces ...savanha..gives in 5 volumes all known british army killed...in regimental order.
its not on net unfortunately ray . wish it was. i have to visit a friends house or local library when i want to use it for ssafa purposes. just lists regiment name rank number etc. but useful as it is arranged in regimental list. all reference libraries will have it. im actually cheating . i take a digi pic of each reg when i can.. sue me...they charge fortune for copier.
When you go to the link, top right in black writing is Catalogue next to home click on it then scroll down, click on world war two research books scroll down to you find Land forces roll of honour there are six vols dont know if these are what you refer to in your post.
My phone browser cuts it off but sounds like them. Are they selling them or publishing on line? Last time i costed them they could be up to 100 quid a volume years ago. Out of my hide cost of books from missus range.
Got it cheers.. Definately down in price. I concentrate on vol 5 so i can get away with that.. There you go sniper.. Youve both just helped ssafa with your thread.. Well my petrol anyway.
Sir, Thank you very much for taking the time to place these names online for all of the world to see. It is the first document that I have seen with my grandfather's name on it. It means a lot! I hope to find more information about him through researching this web site. Thank you, Kim Schwegler schwegskimmy@yahoo.com
Its too bad the list for the US dead does not include the date of death and their unit identification.
