Any Touch's storage capacity is too small for me, can't afford an iPhone but they blow the Touch out of the water for gob-smacking techno-wizardry, I find a mate's just irresistible to play with - Content myself with a nice new Classic after my old faithful died as it's the only one with the capacity I need. ~A
I bought a classic years ago and it is still going strong, to be honest I'm not sure what the attraction of the touch is since apart from the touch screen a classic can do most of the functions whilst an iphone can do more.
I bought one of these Sansa View units last spring, and while it isn’t an Apple, I have no complaints. I bought this to go with my Sandisk Sansa Clip 4GB MP3 player, since this one is expandable with the MicroSD slot. I was so impressed with the hardiness of the first Sansa I bought for $50, I couldn’t justify paying the extra for the iPod name. I washed and ran my Sansa Clip through a complete wash and dry cycle last year, since I had lost the "clip" to a dog snatching it off of my sleeve and giving it a good crunch before I could get it away from him. The little "clip" lost one end, and the face got a few teeth marks, but it still worked and fit right in my "watch pocket" of both my bibs and my Levis. I forgot the stinker in a watch pocket when I put a pair of bibs through the wash, and only noticed it wasn’t on the table when I went to hook it up to the ‘puter and charge the battery/add some tunes. By the time I did this, it had been through the full wash, spin, rinse, spin-dry cycles and I had transfered it into the dryer! Had been in there "hot tumble" drying for nearly 30 minutes when I "rescued" it, and when I plugged it in, it just took right off and worked. Here is a link to the Sansa-View Player I have now, along with the other Sansa Clip (it still rides in my watch pocket) I use for just tunes. The Sansa View also allows me to download audio books from my local library, and listen to them as I either walk, ride my bicycle (seven speed mountain) around town, or drive in my vehicles. The one Micro SD I’ve purchased so far is a 16GB, but there are bigger ones out there of course. This is on eBay, where I bought mine in April for slightly more than this price (I paid $72+S&H): Goto: NEW SanDisk Sansa View 8GB MP3 Player +MicroSD Slot+FM - eBay (item 260488188875 end time Nov-06-09 21:13:12 PST) Good luck on your choices there bud.
