My name is Frances and I have joined this forum in the hope that I can track down some information relating to my husband's uncle who died in the UK on active service. My mother-in-law has sketchy information as her parents, in an attempt to protect at that time did not tell her too much, but now is wondering who knew him, what happened to him etc. Hence my name Path Finder. I am hoping that I can help my mother-in-law, who is now in her 80's, find out more about her much loved brother.

Thanks for your warm welcome one and all. I am going to post the information I have on the information request thread - thanks for that advice Lou. I have also been given the email address of someone who has researched the particular squadron my husband's uncle was was in so will be going down that path too.
