Hello, everyone. I am excited about being here. I've been reading a number of the posts and this seems to be the place to be for discussing WWII related subjects.
The most important factor in determining a discussion forums quality is it's members. From what I've read so far you have the quality members to make this a great site.
The second most important factor is, moderators that walk the fine line between allowing heated debate and letting things get so out of hand as to run off the good members. From what I've read so far you've got this type of moderators.
What I'm looking for, passionate, intellectual discussion, that remains civil and gentlemanly.

About Me: 51 years of age, married, two sons, both serving in the Marine Corps multiple GWOT deployments. I have a BS Degree in Biology, served 9 years in the Marine Corps and 4 years in the US Army as an 18D Special Operations Medical Sargeant after college. I now work for a large US Corporation. My brother also served in the Marine Corps. My father was a career Marine, pvt to Major (LCol upon retirement), 3 tours in Vietnam. He had two brothers one a Chosin Reservoir Marine DefenseLink News Article: Marine Commandant Lauds 'Chosin Few' (check out the main photo) and one a US Navy Submariner. His father served in the US Navy in WWII on an LST in the Pacific. His mother had four brothers. One in the US Army in New Guinea. One with Pattons Third Army and one was a Marine Raider, later serving in 4th Marines at Guam where he was evacuated back to the US. My wife's father and uncle served in the 6th Cavalry from pre-war Horse cavalry through WWII, including the Ardennes at Bastogne.
