3D Virtual recreation of the Germania Project, made by Albert Speer.A reconstruction of Berlin if the III Reich had won the war. This must have taken a long time to create and finish. The capital would have been the biggest capital ever at the time. I also heard it would have been uncomfortable because of the heat that would rise up.

It actually seemed rather claustrophobic to me; all the buildings appeared to crowd each other and close off the sunlight. Didn't appear majestic or imposing at all...merely poorly planned and executed.

I thought the rendering was pretty cool, but the city lacks any kind of human scale. With everything so outsized, there is a feeling of being overwhelmed. No open spaces and large buildings don't make a city majestic, just big.

Hitler did believe 'biggest is best'.

Did you see some of the comments on you tube, things like.

    Too bad it didn't happen,
    If only,

    And so on.

Some of the architecture is kinda cool, how much of Speer's design was used if any when Berlin was being reconstructed? I know Speer had made a few war monuments for the USSR after he was released but nothing beyond that.

Your welcome guys. I just thought it was interesting to see what it might possibly look like if it ever was built. Since we all know the nazis where evil I could never imagine how many slave workers it would take to complete the over haul of the new germany. Probably 100 of thousands of slaves working on the capital building alone to meet the expectations of what hitler would want.
