Nephew Eric, Love seeing the Christmas stuff.

I've had the privilege of touring Eric's collection in person a couple times, but he still comes up with endless things I have not seen. Glad to be here at the Forum now and seeing still more!

Thanks. I am glad everyone enjoyed a section from the collection that is from a Chritmas of long ago. My wife and I enjoy looking for old war time ornaments and now have about 20 of the glass ornaments that came out during the war. We have also been looking for more Chrismas items to add from France and Britain from the war as well. Here is more shots from the collection. See you all next year with more items to show.....
Merry Christmas and a happy new year.

    A 1943 winterwar souvenir , einheit 01459E -- (367 Infanterie Regiment).
Not shure if carved in Norway or already in the Crimea .
Unit is listed in Norway untill the end of 43 but this regiment is already active in the Crimea in very early 1944. They were heavily involved in the famous rescue operation to help german troops break out of the Kamenets-Podolsky pocket .

    Merry christmas !!!!!

    a very sad Bavarian (?) WW1 ☩ rememberance piece .
This soldier fell on 24-12-1916 according to a pencil notition on the back .
The EK2 is not a real one , its stamped from cardboard and glued on , the flags and 'portacabin' are made of plaster ,all text is hand embroided .

May he rest in peace ✝

Beautiful items Heinrich. Thanks for sharing I personally really enjoy looking at ww1 pieces like trench art and such because of that victorian flare of artistry. Wish I could give you a salute but unfortunatly out so points for now. Merry Christmas to you.

Great rememberance piece Heinrich, if you like German Imperial Militaria we have a special thread for this on the forum and yo uare welcome to contribute if you wish.

I am currently making six mannequins with all the stuff I have been showing you over the year.

I am now gathering stuff for a 1940 French soldier and a 1940 Tommy. I also have in mind to get a Belgian one of those days (I already have the great coat, the helmet and the mess kit.

Curious as to how you build your mannequins?
