The longest Day

I've yet to see it but I've been meaning to. It came on Cinemax the other day, but unfortunately I don't have the channel :/. I'm glad there's a DVD release, I definitely have to try amazon!

Apparently there is a colorized version (this is legal isn't it?); Movie longest day color version - Rapidshare files --- Moderator Edit - Yes, this is probably illegal. Unless we know for sure, I've killed the link.
BW does not bother me but some people have trouble with it. Whatever-this is the best WWII film ever made and I highly recommend it. Some trivia; The Longest Day (1962) - Trivia My favorite scene is where the invasion fleet appears out of the mist; YouTube - Auf mich zu direkt!!! The theme song is pretty catchy also; YouTube - The Longest Day I recall us kids marching out of the theater in 1962 to this tune after a thoroughly engrossing film experience. Why does this Zanuck film work so well? Well they kept it real. It really brought home to us what our fathers were talking about.
