    Hello everyone,

My grandfather was in charge of a halftrack battalion in the U.S. army during WW2. I recently inherited several Nazi items he brought back from the war, and am interested in selling them. After finding out it was impossible to sell them on e-bay google brought me here. Is it against the forum rules to put these items up for sale here? If so where would be a good place to start?

    Thank you for your help.

I have uploaded photos to photobucket. Please let me know if you know anything about any of these items, especially the hat which I haven't been able to find any information about and the flag which is fairly large (31" by 51") but looks like it may be a corner of a much larger banner.

Also please let me know if you would like more specific pictures or details.

    Thanks for any help!

The hat has The German Labour Front (Deutsche Arbeitsfront, DAF) insignia. You can get a brief history here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_Labour_Front Or Google it.

The belt buckle with "Gott mit uns" (God with us) was a common belt buckle issued to multible branches of the Wehrmacht, but I have only a general knowledge. Others who specialize in militaria could help you more.

    Hello,

Your flag looks to be a state service flag that has been cut up. These flags were generally large and it was easier for the vet to cut the 'nazi' emblem out and put it in a bag. The hat is a 1934 model civil hat for members of the DAF. The first buckle in your pics with the leather tab is an early pebbled German Army buckle... a very nice one I might add! The second buckle is a Hitler Youth buckle and the third buckle is a early SA (brown shirts) buckle. The party pin is a late war painted variety and your last buckle is an early silver pebbled Army parade buckle.

I'd day that the last buckle and the first buckle could get you $100-$125.The HJ and SA buckle probably $60-$75, the late party pin maybe $50 if the pin is on the back. The hat I wouldn't say is worth much seeing how damaged it is...maybe $50? The flag is also nearly worthless as it has been majorly damaged.

These are solely my opinions...take them for what they are worth..
