Hey, even I can run around and kick a ball after fracturing my arm/elbow! I really wouldn't read too much into his return to practice. He is a big guy and when you go up to win the ball or back into a player, you need your arms. Its a very physical game - if he does play, he certainly won't be as physical as he usually is, and Portugal will certainly be physical against him.

0 - 0 final, Uruguay with a man rightly sent off with 10 minutes left. A pretty decent game and Uruguay looks like it has a chance of beating mexico.

Two Big Goose Eggs for the last Match of the Day. A total of 8 I think Yellow Cards handed out and one Big Red. That must of hurt, France needs seriously to win the next one and add some Points Up they might be need to get into the next round.

Mañana Is a big Day 3 Games.

I'm not sure why I did it, but I'm glad I had picked S Korea over Greece. Todays picks I went 2 for 2 on espn's pick 'em.
US-2 England-1 is my prediction for the final match today. I really think England has been over hyped, and the US team underestimated.

Well It was looking bad for USA with in 7 minutes of the Game. But USA dug in their Heels and raised a little hell of their own,:D in the 54 minute mark if it wasn't for the Post USA would of been leading the Game. A total of 35 shot on goal for both teams combined. USA should be proud they held Mighty Britannia to a 1-1 T.

    GOOoooooooooooo USAaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

P.S. I was at a Italian Cafe & Bar they all cheered for USA :D In the Euro I went to a Portuguese Cafe and every one was Booing Italy, Just an observation.

I'd hardly call 'England' a 'great' team. They failed to qualify for the Euro-cup and haven't had a real goalkeeper since David Seaman all those years ago. The squad selection showed its flaws once again - Lennon and WP had little effect on the game (missing Walcotts speed aren't you now?). An entertaining game, typical English goalkeeping, and a lack of a 'general' in the midfield to control the game for the Brits.

Things COULD get hairy, but the rest of the group is pretty weak.

Argentina failed to impress me in their 1 - 0 win over Nigeria. I mean, Nigeria is missing one of their best players and the game could have easily gone either way.

The games for sunday aren't too appealing and i'll miss all of them (out for the day). Monday has some teasers though...Netherlands vs Denmark should be fun, as should Italy vs Paraguay.

We gotta do a lot better...or ELSE!!!!!!!!!! usa were never gonna score! and yet they made us look at times! as bad as them...that is just not good enough to start your world cup..

What was needed was a Clough touch. A bottle of brandy before the match would have calmed them down. The Three lions looked like nervous kittens. Ha-well better to get it out of the system in the first match.

Argentina did their stuff against the best African team, S.Korea looked impressive, Greece was but a shadow of the disciplined organised side that won the Euro cup 6 years ago.

BUT the worst about the WC is the bloody noise those trumpets are making. It is ruins the experience. A thousand pipers is needed methinks.

Too bad for Green. Not sure if David James is better as he is known for his fumbles...

Interesting to see if Germany is any good tonight.

When I watched that "slow roller" dribble out of Green's grasp last night, I couldn't quite believe it. Odd how each team views a tie differently. For the USA a tie against a reputed "world power" team is almost as good as a win, and for the English a tie to the lowly Americans is seen as a loss.

    Ahhh, relativity strikes again.
