I'm still stunned by my finds (yes, there is much more coming and mostly German) . This weekend was probably one of my best one for years. The funniest is that I had planned a BBQ and cancelled it, so Sunday wasn't initially planned for a militaria hunt. This is my lunch break so no time to post more, but I will tonight if time allows.

Thats a good m42 helmet Skip. I cant tell from the pics if it has a gold KM decal or a toned Heer, good lid either way.

Here is my latest find, and considering the anniversary is next weekend, a timely find, from an antiques market in Amsterdam, I'm not sure when these were produced, possibly post 1945, but still a good item, IMO.

Allright guys, more to make you green . The same guy who had this hemet also sold me this Stalag I.D. tag. After some googling I found out it is a Stalag XB Sandbostel relic (near Hamburg) .

KR = Kriegsgefänge Lg = Lager.

    Ahhh...I'd missed this posting

Mine isn't quite as nice, Skipper - it has a couple of small holes and two buttons are missing. But it has a nice, used look and 'feel' and, like you, I'm glad to have it in my collection.

I wasn't aware you wanted one Martin otherwise I'd have taken the second the seller had last month. Anyway you have one too now so all is well.

It was one of those things rather like the German field telephone - I didn't realise that I 'needed' it until I saw it on the stall ! ;)

I like those bakelite telephones. They are quite easy to find in France. Many of those were confiscated in 1945 and used recycled by the French army. I even have one that was repaired by the Germans during WWII and has everything German except a pre war Ericson hook.

Believe it or not, it's harder to get a complete bottle than a Zeltbahn in this country. I have about ten bottles , but only one cup and five straps. As to the Imperial pouch I wasn't going to leave it. These items were actually picked up for me by a friend (he attended a different fair and knew I needed these.

Great luft tabs, especially those from a summer shirt. Falschirmjager or flieger, very good either way.
