With the XBOX console you actually get to pull the trigger. It's actually a matter of preference; I've played on both platforms and feel that my XBOX is much more comfortable. I would rather be leaning back in my chair with my feet up than crouched over a keyboard with my nose pressed against the monitor. I have my XBOX plugged into the HDMI input of my monitor so the test environment is the same.

It is a matter of preference. But Most war games are for the PC. That in it's self is proof that even game companys know where to have there game to make money.

Yea, PC wins. But the ease of playing x box on couch and 32 inch screen outweighs the PC preciseness. Does anyone else get tennis elbow after an intense X box session?
By the bye, this (x box ) is how my kid gets educated about ww2. Can't get him to read any of my stuff, and heaven forbid they should actually teach today's kids about the triumphs and tragedy of ww2 in school.

You all need to get more comfortable desk-chairs! I use a towel to add padding for sore elbows, and certainly prefer PC gaming over console (PS3 owner myself). Personally, I'd still like to see a Console + PC MP experience - more players that way.

Mine has one....it's kind of tough on my monitor though. Call of Duty for Wii has a rifle.

I really don't see a point in discussing it as everybody is already biased.

But if you want better graphics you have to buy a whole new system.

If you don't want to discuss it you don't have to post in this thread.

You don't always need a new system for better graphics, but a PC certainly gives you access to a lot more material for a game then a console. (Free material, that is, in addition to DLC).

How do you improve the hardware graphics capability of a console without getting a new one?

If you want to play PC games on your 40 inch TV you can you know. A mate of mine used to have a whole wall clear and used a projector to display his PC video as well as his 6.1 surround sound. It ended up being like a 4 x 4 meter TV screen. It certainly was great.

Games for Windows LIVE lets you play PC games with Xbox 360 counterparts. There are only a small handful of games that support that feature though but there are some shooters.

Not sure if the PS3 has anything like that.

Very few PC games actually sell more than their console versions now a days, ten years ago it was almost the opposite. Games like Call of Duty for instance have sold miles better on consoles than PC.

Its not that, I'd love to to discuss it to the ground, but to be honest I prefer the PS3 vs XBox argument as there is no differentiating line between the two as they are both "console" and more clean arguments can unfold as a PC is a multipurpose device and the consoles are strictly gaming.

What I had meant anyway is that the link wasnt exactly settling the debate because there is no debating really involved as people are usually very biased towards what they chose to invest their triple digits in. In most cases "debate" simply degenerates simply generate into "ur (insert) sucks"

What if I was to present a case that clearly makes a point of the XBox being superior to a PC and it made concrete points and all. You already have a strong predisposition towards your PC and are likely not going to change your mind (Not saying that I am not the same way, I am quite biased as well)

My bad if my first post seemed a bit weepy, but do you see what I mean?

The 'beta test' in the link pitted 360 vs PC gamers, with PC gamers 'destroying' their 360 counterparts in the online component. Given the skill level on their repsective systems, this would point to PC gamers being either generally better then their console rivals, or the PC being the far superior machine.

Consoles are anything but for 'Strictly Gaming' these days. You can stream movies, use them (at least the PS3) as a Media Center, browse the web, etc. Not all that unlike a PC these days.

Right, for DLC, but a lot of these games release the mod-tools to the mod-community. The Mod-Community often times makes things better then stuff you have to pay for. For games like Oblivion and Fallout 3 and HOI 3, the mod-community has provided endless mods for the games. You can't get them on Consoles.

Obviously this is a different type of "Modding" than occurs in the console based games. Modders, Hackers, Glitchers and Laggers can go straight to hell
