    Hello everyone,

    I bought a SMG Thompson M1A1.
    It has a detachable buttstock.

I was told the M1A1 has no detach. buttstock.
The man who sold me the SMG told me that it possibly could be a commando weapon.
    Can youo help me?

    Thnks in advance

    Gert-Jan

I only know that the M1928A1 has an detachable buttstock. And it was in use at the Police and the Marines.

You can take the stock off a M1-A1 with a screwdriver but you can't push a button and slide it off like you can with a model 21 or 28.
