Hello JC? ww2f called and wants to know where you at....Just wondering. That guy had some good nuts. Anyone care to fill us in on the whereaboots of this prodigious fellow? He was up there in the count, then nothing. His thingy says last visit was Dec 2009. Should we put him on a milk carton?

Last I heard the Legion had been deployed to Regulus. "Police action".

It happens. People come and go for any number of reasons, most of which we are not privy to.

That is the sad reality of forums, we find ourselves growing attached to some people; but in some cases they think of their forum brethren simply as anonymous.

He was an interesting and helpful fellow but he had shown an unpleasant side of himself before he departed, I hope he has gotten along well with whatever he finds himself involved in.

Also I imagine he is quite happy in saving money on new keyboards! (Little bit of dry humor never hurt anybody :))

JC is on several other boards under that name and active. He had a "disagreement" with a few people here and left as a result on his own volition.

In a way, he is responsible for me being on this board. In my early research on my father's service, I was directed to one of his posts. One thing led to another, and here I am. Whatever his issues on this forum, I am indebted to him for my involvement on this fine forum.

You can see him readily at Armchair General site. I went there for awhile but left as it was too big of a site and I have limited time as it is.

I too am here because of Robert K., he had stopped over on the now defunct The Historic-Battles board, as well as the History Channel forum and told me about this place. Told me to check it out, I fell into with gusto, and as you said Lou; "whatever his issues, I am indebted to him.... for steering me over here.

This has been dicussed a couple of times and I remember when it unfolded. JCFIII cut and pasted alot of his posts, without citing sources or interjecting his own ideas. Instead of understanding the repercussions of intellectual plagerism, and the harm it could have done to the Forum, and in lieu of changing his posting style; he left the Forum.

I enjoyed some of his stuff. He was a bit of a bully, but enjoyed watching when he'd get into it with someone. Is that schadenfreud? Or whatever the German word is for enjoying others conflicts? ...A good brow beating is always a guilty pleasure of mine....Unless it's me being beat. Then it's called bullying. Cause who would fight an unarmed man?

How about we just close this? JC isn't coming back, and it makes the discussion pointless.
