Sqn Ldr Pujji was believed to be the last surviving fighter pilot from a group of 24 Indians who arrived in Britain in 1940. He survived several crashes and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for services in Burma. BBC News - WWII Indian flying ace Squadron Leader Pujji, 92, dies
Damn shame, he had a great life with many accomplishments. It was also nice reading interviews he gave. I didn't realize he released a book, will have to pick it up when I have the chance. RIP.
Now, does anyone knows his actual number of victories? I couldn't find this anywhere, and the only reference is him saying "the day I shot down my first enemy..." I think they misused the term flying ace in this article...
