    I live near Boeing Field in Washington State ... they have a B-17 that tours the country.. Wonder if it is the same plane? Regardless, it is a wonderful site to be outside and hear the distinct noise of the 4 prop monster ... look up and admire the fine lady of the sky. My German Language Instructor in Grade School was a German War Bride married to a US Service member who was aboard a B-17 that was shot down (he survived and continued service in the USAF after the war). She brought in a signed autograph of Adolf Galland who had shot down her husband's plane and as a result affected his haircut choices (his Hairline is a bit missing ...)
