'Hawaii 5-0' was a central part of my schooldays ( 'Book 'em, Danno !' ) and it's a real shame to hear of James MacArthur's death.:(

Also- don't forget - he was in 'The Battle of the Bulge' as a survivor of Malmedy.....

A little disconcerting when the actors you grew up watching are all passing away.

It is even worse when your contemporaries are going, Lisa Blount, 'Paula' from An Officer and a Gentleman' died this week and was only 5 years older then myself! I still love watching Lou Gosset Jr. in that movie!

Reas in Peace James. I tyoo was a Hawaii Five-Oh fan, and loved ya in movies like: Battle of the bulge, The Bedford incident and Swiss Family Robinson opposite Sir John Mills and Sessue Hayakawa.

Rest in Peace James-you are going to be sorely missed: :salute: :mourn:

Dang it, another classy person-of few that hollywood had-being called home.

I too enjoyed the original Hawaii 50, I must admit that so far the "new" version leaves me underwhelmed. Rest in Peace James, you were a class act.

The new Hawaii 5-0 can't be called a classic yet by any means. Not bad but not great either. It doesn't hurt to have Grace Park in a Bikini 3 times in the first five episodes. We better not tell Carl she plays Kono in this version of the show, because if he flashes to an image of Zulu in a bikini we will send the poor guy to the hospital for sure!

My wife and me, reminds of this serie not only the policiac themes, the exotic views too.

Precisely, today I watch in my TV Battle of the Bulge (1965) aka La Batalla de Las Ardenas. More action scenes are filmed in Segovia, Sierra de Guadarrama, near my home -75 Km aprox-
