1. Your Name: My name is Will. I chose my user name because I use it on other forums I participate in. It came from a song by a band called Saccharine Trust. 2. Age: I'm 33, as of this posting. I started reading WWII stuff seriously about three-and-a-half years ago. 3. Origins: I grew up on and around NAS Lemoore, CA. I spent ten years living in Oregon and Washington and moved to Chicago this past July. 4. Specifics: I go back and forth about which specific areas interest me. The more I read, the more questions I end up having and the more book I have to go track down. 5. Hobbies: I don't have any hobbies per se that are WWII related. However, every time I go to Europe, I always make sure to see as much WWII and post-WWII stuff as I can. Especially in Berlin. 6. Other: I was pretty into late 1800s/early 1900s American labor history for a while. 7. Miscellaneous: I'm looking forward to being part of a community to discuss WWII, as I only have one friend that has much of an interest in it.

Thanks for the extra greetings, folks. It's much appreciated. Skipper, I play metal when I'm playing with bands. When I'm at home, I'm working on old country guitar a la Waylon Jennings, Roy Nichols, Merle Travis, etc.
I wish that were the case. I just like a lot of different music and try my best to play it. The metal bands I've been in is what got me over to Europe, which I'll always be grateful for. I've got to see some great WWII/post-war stuff over there. Especially in Germany. And making friends with Germans and talking to them about their family histories has been very enlightening.
