    Hello again,
here is a maker marked ek2 by the makers Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Hanauer.
These crosses were manufactured by a few firms under the same name and identifying ring number of 24. These so called wide frames were also marked by the individual firms with symbols on the suspension rings or the ribbon rings. This one has a half moon which could be a mis striked circle, as on some other crosses a circle is evident. Marks range from lettering, symbols and acorns on the suspension rings. When this cross is displayed with others it stands out very well, due to the differences of the frame width.
    All opinions welcome

    regards John

Hi Carl, Ray. This iron cross thing has really bitten me. I just absolutely love these awards.
I had a very good meeting with a good few collectors this year in Germany, viewed a lot of great items.
I saw, held and examined 2 absolutely mint Knights crosses. DKiG, groupings. Some nice SS items too.
Absolutely fantastic. Even the flea markets were busy with the TR items.
I picked up a nice photo album to an army artillary officer, and a mint copy of the postcard book, Adolf Hitler with its
original dust cover and brown cardboard box.

Hi John, ill have to see if I can get someone to post them for me. The only shot(s) I have of the tunic are ones that dont show close-ups and the digital camera I had at the time, got destroyed thanks to my brother leaving it out in the rain before we moved. I might have a couple of older pics of it lying about somewhere? and if so? ill try getting them to a CD. The tunic and visor are in the pics.
