Well I know I did. Plenty of good food, socializing with friends and family, and watching "A Christmas Story" and "The Wizard of Oz" on the TV. All is right with the world.

Had a great one. Although I felt kind of bad that I could not get the presents for everyone this year being out of a job. Oh well, it's not about the gifts I guess.

I had a great one, also. Santa FINALLY was good to me this year...ah well, I guess hard work pays off.

I just wish I don't have to work so hard in the NEW year...

I'm glad that you had a great one. There is no need to feel bad about the presents, I know it's an overused truism, but it really is true that "it is the thought that counts". It's also about being with your loved ones. I'd have traded all my presents to have my son home for Christmas. I'm sure your loved ones were very happy with just having YOU! Everyone else really doesn't matter.
I wish that you will have a prosperous New Year!

You could always go and offer yourself as cheap labor for some of the elderly family members too. Shovel some snow, clean out the yard, fix a few things up, run errands, that sort of thing you know. A few years ago a buddy of mine got into a financial bind and took to baking praulines and cooking chili for those on his Christmas list in lieu of standard gifts. Now he gets bombarded with requests for prauline refills (in the tins) and for more chili. Nowadays he takes a few days off before Christmas and slaves away in the kitchen. He ought to start a catering business, but like everyone says about that, "it wouldn't be fun anymore".

We had a great holiday. Plenty of food and family. Tomorrow my kids and grandkids are coming for dinner, and Wednesday we are having a close cousin and his wife for a visit. Presents were exchanged, but the family time is worth more than all of them.
