Here you can discuss and talk about the band Lordi.

What is Lordi? It is a old school metal band from Finland who are influenced by bands such as Kiss, Judas priest, WASP, Alice cooper etc and their music is in that style. So if you like 80s metal then this is the band for you.
They do their gigs as big shows and pyros and much extra props. They have even got some FX props from the lord of the rings mvoe makers. Like the dr sin is in table.

The band appears masked and with costumes and have artists names to protect their private life when at home in Finland.
For each era they get new costumes and props for the tours. An era is starting from when a new album get released until the new album comes and starts a new era.

Myself discovered Lordi in 2006 and got to love them for their music. HAve tons of memories with them and was to their last gig of last tour: Europe for breakfast in Germany. Was a fantastic gig there

If you dont know who they are: Go ahead and give them a chance. The same if you have heard about them but never tested their music. IF you like old school metal then I think you can like this band.



Oh: They dont have a magazine but there is one made by the fans and I work on that magazine and the band know us and likes what we are doing and helps us with it as well.
It is called: Lordi fan nation and we exist on facebook as well and have our own website.

It is made by fans for fans and is released once in every third month, so 4 magazines each year. It is free to read and get and the ones who writes it is for their interest and have fun and as a merit to their CV when searching after a work. Must job employers is impressed with it and gives a good impression. It is a webmagazine but it is real and exists.
They are currently a bit low of writers so if someone here is interested to get to know the band better and want to write a chronicle or article or anything about the band is welcomed to join. It is a very fun work and rewarding. You can pm me if you are interested and I help you to become a writer.
As a writer you are free to come up with your own ideas for articles to write and it is a volountary work.
Art work and videos etc is welcomed as well.
LFN is alos looking after people who would want to do videos related to Lordi, example: Lordi stuff reviews in video form or something different? If you have your own ideas for some really good videos then you are free to do them as well.

Didn't they win the euravision song contest!

 

A long time ago, yes. But now they are forgotten by most for it and maybe that is for the better. At the moment they are kinda forgotten and very small band again. Their european tour wasnt that big, most gigs was in germany where they are more popular and in France, no gigs for sweden or Finland or Norway or great britain since the promoters there have no interest to pay them to come and play.

I believe we Finns will always remember them for winning the Eurovision song contest...

 

Nice to hear^^ Although I hear it isnt going well there for them anymore and some finns dont like them anymore, or that is maybe the youngsters.
