Hello Ladies and Gentleman I just finished up writing my small book about The Battle of The Bulge and I have a new project. So I just recently took a look at an old thread I posted called 'IM NEW' and I noticed one particular response that told me to get a STGIII or something to go with my Grenadiers. Well, I am creating a Diorama of the Battle of France (The 1940 one). One of the major problems I have run in to is "What goes with what". I have purchased a 75mm Pak 40 from Tamiya and Some regular French infantry (6 of them) with 4 Mas Rifleman, 1 Chatt (Dont know how to spell that) LMG and an officer with some revolver I have not identified. So i was just wondering about a few thing's. First of all, this Diorama is going to Urban but I have no Actual Line there defending so I arose a few questions. 1. What battle took place in an Urban enviorment? 2. What would go well with my Pak 40 and/or my French infantry? 3. Is there any particular colours My Pak 40 needs to be painted to make it look like it took place in the French campaign? Thanks for your help. TT
The 37-mm Rheinmetall (the 3.7-cm Pak). Is what you need for a Battle of France diorama. It was found to be too limited in power, and after the BoF was superseded by the 50-mm 5-cm Pak 38. Save your pak-40 kit for a North African, Russian Front, or even Normandy scene. Amazon.com: Tamiya 1/35 WWII German 37mm Anti-Tank Gun Pak 35/36: Toys & Games
