Yes, after a reasonably OK season so far, this is like a return to the 'bad old days' Makes you long for the days when Ferrari were Ferrari ( ie before the Old Man died ). Now, they may as well be Goldman Sachs......
Before the anti-Ferrari bit goes too far, every single team in F1 has team orders. Recall McLaren just a few races ago telling Hamilton on the radio, "Jenson will not pass you!" The only way an engineer can say that with certainty, is team orders. Or telling a driver to go to low fuel settings. Translation: Don't pass your team mate, or let your team mate pass.
Maybe, but Ferrari have an unfortunate habit of making it look as though they're taking the p*ss out of the poor saps who have paid 200 quid or so to go through the gate.
Seems like Schumi is not interested in racing this season anymore? "Michael Schumacher - the seven-times world champion, who has landed pole in Hungary seven times throughout his career - was again out-qualified by his younger team-mate Rosberg. The veteran was knocked out in Q2 and will start 14th." BBC Sport - F1 - Flying Vettel takes Hungary pole
Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel re-ignited his world championship hopes with an emphatic lights-to-flag victory in the Japanese Grand Prix. The German finished a second clear of team-mate Mark Webber, with Ferrari's Fernando Alonso in third. McLaren team-mates Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton were fourth and fifth. Webber now has a 14-point championship lead, with Alonso second, tied on points with Vettel in third. Hamilton slips to fourth, with Button in fifth. Well, it's down to the wire today. Such a pity it has to be on such a dreadful, Scalextric-toy type 'track' as Abu Dhabi - if only it could have been Spa or Monza. Somehow I reckon Alonso may get it........
I agree. It seems like Alonso is in favor as he´s in front of Webber, but still miracles can happen. Will Vettel help Webber if otherwise Alonso would win...??
Well, Vettel got it and thoroughly deserved it was, too. What a fantastic pole position lap ! The race wasn't quite as thrilling as hoped, but was still fascinating - even the one quite serious incident ended in smiles. IMPO Alonso demeaned himself by his attitude to Petrov after the race. Petrov wasn't lapped - he was racing for position, and if Alonso couldn't get past - well, that's motor racing. All in all, a good season after the horrible politics of recent years.
Was a good season and was fantastic to see Schumacher back again On the later part of the season he did some really good results and I hope he can go on like it and even better in this new season. The new Ferrari car F150 is shown and looks very much like it´s predecessor but hopefully a bit faster. Is a Ferrari and Schumacher fan since little Will be fun and exciting to see the new cars shown this week and next.
I heard Michael has problems with the F1-simulator, nausea stopping him practice for races with it pre-season. It was said it started from a motorcycle accident he has some years ago.
True He get motion sick by the screens as new beginner of video games get as well. But with training he should be able to get used to it if not his eye damage is the cause of it or that accident you descibed.
Tried looking for the teams list of driver's but it seems there's no conformation on the change's, Does any one have any confirmed info? would love to know
This may help... 2011 F1 drivers and teams | There seem to be few major changes this year ( ) except for Maldonado in at Williams ; although with their current form this may make little difference.....
Mercedes Grand Prix Race drivers 7. Michael Schumacher (has 2011 contract) 8. Nico Rosberg (has 2011 contract) Ha! Nico was the better driver last season yet he is forced to give his number to Michael... Nothing new...
No they won't - they'll be restricted to 12,000..... On a more serious note - I've just seen that Robert Kubica has been seriously injured in a rallying crash......
Yes that is correct he was driving in the Ronde di Andora Rally when the car that he was driving the Skoda Fabia hit a crash barrier and part of the crash barrier entered the cockpit and fractured his right arm and leg View attachment 12621 Looks as though he's out of F1 this year I would like to wish him a speedy recovery
