Finally saw this movie, which was long awaited. Lets see hear, first it is a first Polish movie in 3D, directed by Jerzy Hoffman, first major movie about the Polish Soviet War post communism, very interesting aspects such as the Ukranians, Cossacks, the Russians Reds and Whites, the US pilots fighting in the Polish Air Force, etc... And the movie sucked. In fact it won 5 of Polish Snake Awards (given for worst films). You would think there would be some cool tank seens, since the tanks in the 20's were awesome looking, well you would be wrong. This was supposed to be a war movie and yet the battle scenes were few and far in between. It was an awefull love story with the Polish Soviet War as a back drop. It freaking sucked. So pissed off. Thanks for listening.

Must admit they could have done a better war film. To me it was the usual low-budget type war movie with lots of talk and love scenes, less battle scenes. Hardly a movie to give the glory the battle deserves. I am not going to comment about the Polish troops and their position to start with, as this seems to be historically a different view than the one in the movie.

Love stories and plot outside of history are usually tacked on by producers or "the ones with the money" so that it caters to a wider audience, therefore there is a better chance (in their perspective keep in mind) to make their investment back.

Which is completely silly considering this entire forum and many like it would vouch and support a good solid war film without the emotional music and the man and girl closing in for the "kill" per say. SMOOCH.

The problem however is that if you put all the active members of the this forum in to a large theater it probably still would not be sold out for a single performance. In truth they must attempt to attract a wider audience (i.e. women) if there is any chance to break even let alone make a profit.
