What a sad performance by the Russians. They started off great in game 1, played like eh in game 2 and just F*#ked it up in game 3!

Good job Greece I sure hope this victory will bring cheer to a country in desperate need of it!

 

I want Italy to win tomorrow and for Spain to beat Croatia.

 

It was a depressing game for the Netherlands last night...they never started playing really... Seems like C Ronaldo might be waking up, two goals last night.

 

Balotelli finally found the net, and at a good time. Plus Spain moved on. I'm a happy man.

 

Boy is England lucky to hold the lead vs Ukraine. That ball crossed the line and the ref said no!

 

England managed to win and meet next Italy. France was playing very poorly and unless they make a big change, Spain will cruise easily into the next round. Great goal by Zlatan for Sweden!

 

Arshavin being rude to the Russian team fans...?!! I think he´s as disappointed as everybody else but does not put it correctly...bad choice of words.

Why do they keep referring to him as an Arsenal Player - left in Feb to play for Zenit St Petersburg (Russia).

Arsenal paid a record amount for him (still low by Chelsea standards) but had a sad time with them - thought he played better in the Euros.

Still there is only so much these players can take - if that header in the last few minutes had been 3 inches to the right, the team would now be heroes - such a small margin between success and failure.

 

There is some great games coing up. Well, Germany vs Greece, not so great, I predict 3:1. France vs Spain is hard to predict but I think 1:2. England vs Italy, as much as I want England to win, I fear 1:2.
And by the way I forgot to mention that the English team practiced at a club called Hutnik (Polish division 4 I think) outside of Krakow. My dad played for Hutnik back in 70's. It is about 20 min walking from my grandma'a house. I spent many summer days there watching my dad practice. Great memories.

 

The Czechs were pretty poor unfortunately. Shots on goal = 0. None. So Portugal deserved to win anyway. Germany probably wins tonight but we´ll see.

Germany 4 to 2 over Greece. wonder if Greece really had a changce to begin with Deutschland ?

 

No disrespect to Greece, after all two goals against Germany is an achievement within it self, but I would have loved to see Germany vs Russia. Probably would not have been the most "fluid" "beautifull" game, but God Damn there would be a lot of history and animosity between the two. Sorry, I always attached history, especially WW2, to everything. Still congrats to Greece. Wonder if Greece will hand over their prize money to Germany. It would be nice.

 

I'm going with Spain 2-1 over France.

The first goal for Spain was classic. I hate to see France go home but the best team won.
The England vs Italy match tomorrow should be a wild one.
I would like to see a Germany vs Spain Finals..... But who cares ? I'm an American !!

If Russia would have won and faced Germany... It would if been on the anniversary of Operation Bararossa.

 

From English press "The Spanish team and Vicente del Bosque has taken much criticism from the Spanish press" it's true ... could you believe that? I guess there are only five or six spaniards in the whole country that know we´re not able to do a better job than don Vicente del Bosque. The last matches against Portugal and Germany were difficult victories of our team. We will see great games.

Hate shoot outs, but at least the better team won. However, I dont see Italy getting past Germany.
