Been watching it and have to say.. Awesome!.

Have to say got me imagining how things would go if that occurred in reality, Being from Australia though I'd only speculate on our region as the rest of the world is almost guaranteed to break down and attack each other while Australia and NZ at the bottom of the world just kick back like everything normal except for the fact we would know have to make our own alcohol.

Shame they don't have a game with the same story line, RTS with the Revolution story line, Research from nothing up to getting Steam power in which case Austral;ia and NZ would totally win seeing as we wont be fighting any wars that would slow us down =).

I saw the pilot episode only.

Had a few problems with the premise. A doodad thingy was all that was needed to turn the power on? Why wait a generation to use it? How do the good guy's have a internet connection? With all the guns and ammo in the US why is most of the soldier's down to swords?

I love Sci-Fi, but on American mainstream TV it usually doesn't last long and even the network has only limited faith as they did not authorize a full 20-22 episode run for it.

While I agree the whole doodad thingy is odd, There is a story line to it and I personally would hate it just as much if they gave it all away in the pilot episode, Would be spoiler alert before the season even began.

As for the US and its arsenal, A decade of conflict would see much of that arsenal diminished, What remaining being tightly controlled by the 4 remaining factions.

You should watch it all because it gets very interesting, Still not my favorite Sci-Fi show ever though, My fav would have to have been Firefly.. That show was 'Shiny' =D

I had to stop watching it. 15 years after "lights out" (which, of course, sent all airplanes into a flat spin, since nobody knows how to fly on manual "ohcrap" controls), and everyone still has perfectly straight, white teeth; everyone's clothing is in good repair, although mismatched; hair is still able to be teased into place; musical instruments have disappeared as well, leading to wistful, longing looks whenever someone sees a CD player; steam/hydro and basic mechanical engineering no longer works, regardless of the fact that they were perfectly viable sources of power for a year or two prior to the invention (and commercialization) of electricity.....etc etc. And the show is a blatant anti-2nd Amendment show....the bad guys are "militias", they're the only ones with guns and they're the evil ones that are trying to keep the people in subservient slavery...the good guys, reluctantly, of course, resort to non-firearm means to combat the evil 2A militias, including using custom sporting crossbows (which have not suffered the effects of time) with machined bolts (I guess blacksmiths have suddenly reappeared?), and longbows, of which we've rediscovered a cache of indestructable bows from RenFests, or (again) bowyers have suddenly come out of hiding. Honestly...there's so much wrong with so many different episodes that my wife has refused to let me watch it with her (after the one where they were "trapped" in the subway tunnel, and a handful of people with two or three torches suddenly starts to use up ALL of the oxygen in an entire subway line while searching for an exit....seriously?). No big loss, I say. C'mon, writers....the premise is good, just get some basic science and a little bit of realism!!!

Firefly was AWESOME!!! I definitely conjure that show was SHINY!

I agree they could make it more realistic however the steam issue has been explained, Coal fired ships where all destroyed in 'the war' and in today's current times all most all active trains are either electrical or diesel, They did however get one operating though they for some reason decided to power it via use of 'wood' o.0 even though the US still had access to massive coal deposits...

have to wonder though.. What would the Canadians be thinking up North with all the Drama the US has going on in the series :p Then again they might have the same issue with the French there.

Oh and as for the Subway scene with the torches using up the oxygen, That was actually fairly factual.. Talking with a few miners up in Bendigo, Australia (Most mined region on Earth based on the area size) and one section of tunnel would have needed air pumped down it for 2 hours before some one could safely enter that section, And the underground subway lines are a lot longer then what this tunnel was, So them losing the air is actually very plausible.

It had my interest but that character 'Charlie' was driving me crazy. One moment she is smart and the next soooooo stupid. That along with her uncle 'Miles' listens to her. Cannot stand her enough to drive me to not watch it. Other than that....not a bad flick. The one new show that was sooo stupid was 'Last Resort'. Talk about unrealistic.

I sorta' kinda' watch it out of the corner of my eye (usually on the web at ww2f at the time) and also find it hard to believe out of 270 million firearms in the US they nearly all end up in the hands of the 'Bad Guys? Swords and Crossbow's?
After the first couple of episodes it looked too much like "Lost" and I quickly Lost interest.

Oh, I agree, if the subway were completely sealed, then the oxygen supply would have been used up eventually. But in this episode, they walked quite a distance, and presumably found an exit (since I didn't hear that the show was cancelled due to all the key good-guys dying of asphyxiation after p!ssing off some writer), there would therefore have been a source of oxygen. There might not have been any air FLOW, but if the tubby guy could get out of the exit, then there should have been enough air to at least dispense with the "hallucinations". But, I may be a bit skeptical of the show, anyway, which may be clouding my tenuous grasp of science.

Not a problem, Guess im not ass Picky as most on here about my entertainment except that which relates to war films, Calling an M60 tank a King Tiger is just plain stupid grr.

Looking at it there are a few flaws in the show, But for the most part I can relate to it.. Give it till next season and you will be seeing the British red coats rocking up on the east coast while the Aussies rock up in the 'California Republic' to surf, drink beer and sell weed =).
